Originally from Essex, Alison gained legal experience working in London for 20 years before relocating to Cambridgeshire.  Since then she has worked for the MP for Huntingdonshire as well as being elected as a District Councillor for the Hemingfords ward, where she lives.

Outside of work, Alison has always been something of an arts and crafts butterfly, enjoying anything creative, as well as visiting galleries and exhibitions for inspiration.  She is currently experimenting with acrylic paint, collage and printmaking while dabbling with a little macrame on the side.  She also enjoys dressmaking, gardening, upcycling, photography and travel!

Can't get it down to just one but The English Patient and As Good As It Gets are two of them.

I'd probably choose an afternoon out - cream tea with the ladies in a classy restaurant or cocktail bar.

Smartish? Usually a dress or something colourful.

Choice of holiday?

Cultural - taking in the sights - exploring and learning - Japan is hopefully next on my list.

Rolling waves crashing on a beach.
