Chris Hawkes

Chris joined the profession after being called to the Bar in July 2010, coming within the top 5% of the country and attaining the highest national grade for International Commercial Law & Practice. In 2012, Chris was cross qualified and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors. He now practices as a Solicitor.

Chris leads a team within Stobbs, and has a mixed practice of non-contentious, contentious, and commercial work. His clients include those in the publishing, events, financial, lifestyle, fashion, music and entertainment space.

Chris has been recognised in Legal 500 and Managing IP publications for many years, being noted as a 'disputes specialist' and an 'experienced senior practitioner'. He has been listed for his expertise in relation to trade marks, intellectual property, and media & entertainment law, and noted as a ‘Next Generation Partner’, ‘Rising Star’, and ‘Key Lawyer’. Chris is well published, and has featured regularly in the CITMA Review, Intellectual Property Magazine, and various other publications since 2012. Chris has also been involved in various committees since joining the profession, including with CITMA, and more recently serving on INTA committees.

In his spare time, as a former DJ, Chris loves to listen to all forms of music. Chris is also a keen former county squash player, and tries his best as a golfer!
