Claire Breheny
IA Director

Claire is a qualified UK and EU Trade Mark Attorney and has been with Stobbs since its inception in 2013, and is an IA Director and Head of Support. Claire has worked in the profession since 2007 and specialises in managing expansive global portfolios for large UK based direct clients, and managing European work for US based clients. As part of her role, she provides advice on management and organisation of her client’s portfolios, and development of IP strategies which work alongside the commercial needs of the business (both from a filing and enforcement perspective). Claire is experienced in searching, clearing, protecting and enforcement work (including some litigation) in a wide range of jurisdictions globally, with particular experience of managing complex disputes and settlements across a number of jurisdictions.

She was described in WTR 1000 as being “creative and sharp when it comes to global strategy and knows what makes for great customer service… Responsive, organised and proactive, she works extremely hard and goes the extra mile”.

Claire also has had numerous successes in the recovery of domain names for her clients and has appeared before the UKIPO in inter parties Hearings. Claire also regularly attends INTA and the INTA Midyear conferences. Claire began her career in sales management for a major department store chain, after joining their graduate training scheme. It was here that she developed her interest in trade marks and an appreciation of the importance of branding, and this experience gave her a good footing for her practical and commercially driven advice that she provides to her clients.
