Edward joined Stobbs in 2021 after having worked the previous six years as a Legal Manager and IP Paralegal with a particular focus on trade mark registration, renewals and recordals in sub-Saharan Africa. He is a qualified Attorney in Jamaica where he practised for several years specialising in Interlocutory applications in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. Prior to that, he completed his LL.M. at Queen Mary University of London after a career in private practice and in the public service of his native Jamaica. He held positions including Registrar of Industrial Property and Executive Director of the national IP office, JIPO. Edward enjoys reading, cooking, travel, and has a vinyl collection of 3,000 LPs which he is constantly looking to expand!
