Harneet Sekhon
IA Manager

Harneet joined Stobbs as an IA Executive, and is now an IA Manager at Stobbs.

Harneet joined Stobbs in 2019 with prior experience in both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters including filing UK, EUTM and international trade mark applications and assisting clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings. Harneet works with clients from a range of industries including the education, fashion, food and drink, and healthcare sectors. Harneet has also gained experience of working with the in-house intellectual property teams of a major UK snacking company and a world-leading educational institution, both as part of client secondments.

Harneet holds a LLB Bachelor of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and qualified as a Trade Mark Attorney in 2021.

Outside of work, Harneet enjoys spending a lot of time perusing the shelves of book shops. She also enjoys attending art exhibitions and galleries, particularly those focused on contemporary art. One of Harneet's favourite pastimes is to cook, as well as drinking lattes and espressos at quirky and cosy coffeehouses. Harneet also enjoys various physical activities including running, hiking, horse riding, yoga and pilates.

Favourite food?

A 'Masterchef-worthy' Italian pasta dish or sushi.

Favourite music?

Too many. The Beatles, Michael Jackson, T Swift, Nineties and early Noughties' R&B, as well as the Harry Potter soundtrack.

Favourite book?

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy.

Favourite gadget?

iPhone.

Favourite film?

The Descendants (2011), The Sound of Music , My Cousin Vinny, Back to the Future, and the Harry Potters (of course).

Choice of night out?

Dinner (at a place I've never tried before) with good company.

Choice of dress code?

Dress in accordance with your mood.

Choice of holiday?

Both a relaxing holiday in a sun drenched location or a wander through the terracotta streets of Rome.

What sound or noise do you love?

The clashing and clacking of too many rings on a hand.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

Principal dancer at the New York City Ballet.
