Alex joined Stobbs in 2024 as an IA Executive. Alex is a commercial lawyer with a varied background. He qualified as a Solicitor in March 2023, beginning life as a banking and finance Solicitor at a national practice based in London, before joining Stobbs as a hybrid commercial and disputes IP Solicitor. His past experience includes acting for regulatory authorities in fitness to practice investigations, household names in large-scale finance transactions and contractors in adjudication proceedings. He has also acted for multinationals in the protection of their worldwide trademark portfolios and advised on copyright and database rights, largely in a professional services context. His experience allows him to identify key commercial issues, communicate concisely and effectively, and ask the questions that need asking.

Alex graduated from the University of Southampton in 2018, before undertaking his LPC in Guildford, finishing his studies in 2019. As part of his LLB, he had the opportunity to study at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, which he describes as the best year of his degree! Aside from studying, Alex was a member of the University’s Theatre group, which afforded him the chance to perform a show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. When he’s not working, Alex enjoys spending time with his family and friends, usually coaxing them to play one board game or another.
