Outside of work, Joe is interested in Philosophy, Psychology and is trying to write a novel. He also likes learning languages, having lived and worked in Germany and Italy, is an avid sauna goer and is a secret fan of reality TV shows – MAFS is his favourite. Joe has an interest in volunteering and fundraising and founded an LGBT club night in Cambridge that fundraises for a diverse set of charities.

Pizza! I wish my answer were more interesting, but it is a dish as comforting as it is convenient.

Favourite music?

Lana Del Rey, Hole, 60s soul and binaural beats if I'm trying to concentrate.

No favourite, but anything written by Irvine Welsh, Brett Easton Ellis and Christos Tsiolkas is good. I am reading 'The Beach' at the moment.

Foreo's Luna face cleaner.

Climax by Gaspar Noé.

Choice of night out

Dinner somewhere authentic and local-ey, one glass of wine and a post-food walk.

Choice of dress code?

My least dirty jumper paired with the shirt it most matches.

Choice of holiday?

Istanbul is one of my favourite cities, but I like anywhere with good cafes that I can sit and drink coffee in, read, and pretend to on my Grand Tour.

What sound or noise do you love?

The wooshing sound when a gas hob ignites.

What profession other than your own would you like attempt?

A novelist or a doctor.

 Vespa.
