Silvia joined Stobbs in 2024 as a Disbursement Specialist in our Numbers team.
Silvia originally worked in hospitality, which suited her outgoing personality. Then, due to the unpredictable hours that go along with the hospitality industry, Silvia decided to do a 180 and change her career path, and moved into an administration role. Her most recent role as an accounts administrator at Becketts taught her everything she knows so far about processing and accountancy in general.
Outside of work, Silvia loves running, spending time with family and friends and walking her two four-legged babies Pablo and Vinnie. She also enjoys cooking- as long as there are people to cook for.
Favourite food?
As Slovakian in my heart, I’ve got favourite Slovak dish “halusky” (potato gnocchi with sheep cheese, topped with crispy bacon. If I really have to pick one, then it’s chicken stroganoff.
Favourite music?
What I listen to mostly depends on my mood. I love any genres, but nothing beat old rock bands. Some of my favourites are The Cranberries, No Doubt, Kings of Leon and Oasis.
Favourite book?
I’m not very into reading, although I’m trying to be. I'm currently reading Housemaid’s Secret by Frieda McFadden. If I read, it has to be something thrilling with a good story like this.
Favourite gadget?
Lint roller.
Favourite film?
Cruel Intentions.
Choice of night out?
A cozy bar with some live acoustic music in the background with a group of fun people.
Choice of dress code?
Practical but also chic. My obsession is knitted jumpers.
Choice of holiday?
As far I can go. As long as it is somewhere new and hot. Portugal is one of my favourites, and as my fiancée is Portuguese we get to visit it more. In the winter months, I love to go snowboarding with my family.
What sound or noise do you love?
My dogs breathing heavily, as they are just about to fall asleep.
What profession other than your own would you like attempt?
My own dog walking/dog sitting company.
