Exclusive: UK IPO to Divide Functions
Exclusive: UK IPO to Divide Functions
Stobbs' Sherlock has uncovered exclusive news that the UK IPO plans to widen its offering. An anonymous UK IPO source has advised that: ""We're increasingly seeing that the public wants a diverse function from the Office. As of 1 May 2017, the UK IPO will consist of three distinct departments: Intellectual, Property and Office. Intellectual: the idea will be to have a crack team of academics forming a think tank to mull over key IP-related issues. Property: a key criticism of the Office is that we've focussed too much on the intangible. Our London office will now take over some of the Lost Property Office's functions. This will be a huge boon for those who have lost their Oyster cards and iPhones. Office: in a bid to encapsulate the shareconomy, we will be offering a shared working space at both our London and Newport offices. We've kitted the spaces out with plenty of fax machines, chalk boards and pencil pots - think cyber security meets retro."" Only time will tell to see if this new format will work for the UK IPO. In the meantime, we’d like to wish all of our readers a happy 1 st April.
