Bio
Poppy joined Stobbs in 2025 as an IA Executive.
Poppy is a commercial and non-contentious IP lawyer with a strong focus on the creative, media, and entertainment industries. She has a proven track record advising on the development, clearance, protection, and exploitation of intellectual property, both in-house and across a wide range of high-profile commercial transactions. Her expertise spans advertising and marketing, content production, digital innovation, strategic brand partnerships and licensing, and she is enthusiastic about helping clients unlock the commercial potential of IP in the modern, digital-first economy.
Poppy joined Stobbs from ITV, where she served as a Legal Advisor, providing end-to-end commercial and IP legal support on content-led commercial revenue exploitation, working across flagship programming, including Love Island, Big Brother, I’m a Celebrity, and Coronation Street. She trained and qualified in-house at FTSE 100 advertising powerhouse, WPP, where she was the first lawyer to deliver Advertising Clearance as a dedicated client service, guiding multinational brands through the clearance of creative campaigns across the EU. She also developed broader IP, commercial, and corporate legal work, leading complex IP portfolio projects, supporting high-value international client pitches, and developing the legal strategy on content clearance across the WPP group.
Poppy brings a strategic, commercially attuned perspective shaped by in-house experience and an understanding of commercial pressures. She collaborates with businesses to unlock new innovative ideas, particularly in digital-first and emerging spaces.
Outside of work, Poppy is an enthusiastic consumer of music, modern art, food, and fashion—often all at once at one of London’s many creative pop-up events.
