In a world of AI this and AI that, I’m of the view that developing people should remain vital.
I’m fortunate to be in a position to have helped teach a large number of aspiring administrators and paralegals in the United Kingdom – it’s probably into four figures – with my involvement with the CITMA Paralegal Course and Introductory courses.
Internationally, my Southern English accent is now being heard by those signing up the International Trademark Association’s Trademark Administrators Certificate Program: Intermediate Course that launched this month.
Internally, we also have our dedicated training program for our in-house Renewals team, the Renewals Academy, which helps us be the best, in my view, team in our field.
We have a great training offering here at Stobbs with weekly sessions and dedicated case discussion forums.
I appreciate and respect hugely the other members of our global community giving back their time, passion and expertise to both new starters in IP to those that have been around longer. After all, there’s always stuff to learn.
Whether internally or externally, it is hugely rewarding to see enthusiasm and engagement. Interesting questions that make you think, that give you a different perspective on things. Until the robots takeover, my approach – and our approach at Stobbs – will be a people-centric one.
