Bio

Jess joined Stobbs as a Paralegal in May 2025 after completing a work experience placement with the firm in December 2024. Jess studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Bath, where she specialised in topics relating to international relations, political theory, and social and cultural politics, with a particular focus on identity, conflict, and policy evaluation. Alongside this, she developed strong research and analytical skills through an extended dissertation, focusing on researching the legislative and legal challenges surrounding refugees' access to Higher Education in the UK, and year-long professional work placement. Before joining Stobbs, Jess worked in the education and charity sector, progressing quickly to a management position at a national educational charity. In these roles, she led teams, built strong stakeholder relationships, and developed a passion for problem-solving and collaborative working. She also has experience supporting young people, managing safeguarding responsibilities, and delivering successful projects under pressure. Outside of work, Jess enjoys keeping active through pilates, boxing, and swimming. She is also a keen cook, cinema lover, and pop culture enthusiast, and values spending quality time with friends and family.
