Geoff Steward is quoted in an article by The Times about supermarket lookalikes

At long last, the anti-lookalikes agenda has been gaining traction in the mainstream media. As the rhetoric in the courts is starting to shift about how consumer behavioural science affects purchasing behaviour, a new article in the national press neatly sums up the current state of affairs, and how this is hopefully beginning to change. In a recent article by The Times, Geoff Steward is quoted as saying...

“We’re at an interesting time for these issues. Brands are not tolerating copycats as much, the courts are opening up unfair advantage claims and you have canvassing to try to get a change in the law. A lot of the supermarkets are already starting to be more cautious. Lidl, notably, has wound back a little bit on this stuff. Aldi is a bit of an outlier at the moment. It is not wavering on its business model.”
