Arjun Mepa

Arjun joined Stobbs in 2025 as an OBE Specialist.

Arjun graduated with a bachelor’s in Cybersecurity and secured a role as a Content Protection Analyst at Friend MTS. He focused on live monitoring, social media takedowns, network traffic analysis, online investigations on illicit domains, apps, and IPTV services. Additionally, he focused on vulnerability research on Widevine security, specifically on how pirates can extract decryption keys from a content decryption module (CDM) and access high-quality content. He later joined IFPI as a Content Protection Investigator. This is where he gained hands-on experience in online investigations and writing reports for civil and criminal referrals related to IP infringements. He investigated unreleased music leaks for music labels (Warner, Sony, & Universal Music), including the sharing of snippets, albums, and artworks of artists on music piracy forums. This included online investigations, social media monitoring and understanding where, who and how the unreleased music was stolen from the artist and identifying the responsible threat actors. Arjun was also involved in PIPCU Operation Creative on an ad-hoc basis, conducting technical investigations into pirate domains including cyberlockers, stream-rippers, and direct hosting piracy. Arjun’s goal is to write a book on the importance of disrupting online IP crime and the techniques used, including online investigations, WHOIS historical records, payment, advertisement disruption, cease-and-desist, domain & hosting provider disruption. 

In his spare time, Arjun likes to spend time with family or going out with friends for coffee breaks. He also enjoys staying active by going for long hikes.
