Will Holmes
IA Manager
Bio
Will joined Stobbs in 2026, with prior experience in contentious intellectual property matters, advising on copyright, trade marks and designs. Will trained as a solicitor at a Chicago-based US law firm, qualifying there as a Life Sciences regulatory lawyer in 2019, and then made the shift to a specialist IP and media boutique in 2020. Since then, Will has advised a large number of clients from a range of industries, including media, publishing, gaming, food and drinks, and fashion. Will has experience of litigating at all levels, from the UKIPO (including as advocate) through to the Court of Appeal.
Will has been recognized in Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, and is a member of the British Literary and Artistic Copyright Association (BLACA) and MARQUES. He studied English, and got a first-class degree from the University of Exeter before converting to law.
Outside of work, Will spends most of his time eating and drinking far too much with his friends and family. When he’s not doing that, he’s probably reading, running, or trying (without much success) to encourage uninterested family members to play elaborate board games.
