Claire has worked in the patent and trade mark world for 25 years. Claire’s greatest achievement was qualifying by examination in 2006 and being awarded the Adrian Spencer Memorial Prize from CITMA for achieving the highest mark in the UK Trade Mark Law and Practice Paper in the qualifying examinations. Her next best achievement is being the reigning space hopper champion in her local town.

Claire has substantial experience in the field of UK, Overseas, EU and International trade mark filing, prosecution and opposition proceedings. Claire enjoys advising on the selection and maintenance of trade marks and has a wealth of knowledge in relation to trade mark portfolio management, reviews and audits and also in respect of filing strategy advice. Claire also has particular expertise with regard to clearance projects and with regard to evidence review, collection and compilation and subsequent witness statement preparation.

Claire’s time is spent working with corporate clients ranging from fast moving consumer goods, to food and drinks, clothing and sportswear. Clients appreciate her friendly response to all matters of work, her no panic attitude and sociable nature.

Claire no longer has any spare time due to her young(ish) family and is regularly found on the touchline in all weathers supporting and heling run youth football, rugby and netball teams and assisting at a local theatre group. Claire also spends the weekend walking the dog and listening to Formula One and MotoGP races.

Sausages, mash and gravy followed by chocolate fudge cake.

Carol King/Radiohead/Prince/Prodigy - hard to choose just one.

Favourite book?

Anne of Green Gables.

Hand Blender.

Anywhere with friends/family.

Think Shirley Bassey, but more likely to be anything in black.

HOT HOT HOT - Canary Islands, closely followed by a dog walking expedition in a camper van.

The first pour from a bottle of Jack Daniels, closely followed by a cat purr.
