IA Director

David is an IA Director and works in our Online Brand Enforcement team.

David is a dual-qualified solicitor and Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with 15+ years’ experience working in-house with leading B2B and B2C brands.

Prior to joining Stobbs, David was the Head of Trademarks for 10 years at Arm (the world’s leading semiconductor IP licensing company) where he built a team and was responsible for all contentious and non-contentious trade mark matters, as well as the company’s trade mark strategy and brand enforcement strategy. Prior to Arm, David worked for 7 years at Chorion Limited (an entertainment brand management and licensing business whose brands included AGATHA CHRISTIE, PADDINGTON BEAR, PETER RABBIT, OCTONAUTS, NODDY and MR MEN & LITTLE MISS) where he also built a team and had similar responsibilities.

As a trusted advisor, David became proficient in brand enforcement, optimizing cost-efficiency, delivering results and building relationships with key stakeholders up to board level. David was listed each year in the WTR 300 for in-house trade mark counsel. David has regularly presented at numerous external trade mark events and he has sat on a couple of committees before the Internal Trademark Association (INTA).
