Maia is a solicitor based in our London office. She joined Stobbs in March 2021, having trained at boutique IP and commercial firm Brandsmiths, and previously worked as a paralegal in patent litigation firm Powell Gilbert. Maia is involved in intellectual property and commercial work. She has experience of both non-contentious and litigious matters and has acted for clients in a variety of cases, from the County Courts up to the High Court and IPEC.

Outside of work, Maia has an interest in art, crafts and sustainable fashion and design. She enjoys visiting galleries, spending time in nature, and getting stuck into various creative pursuits such as painting, cooking, gardening and crochet.

Favourite food?

I'm a big fan of cheese, chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding, but I don't have a favourite food - I like trying lots of different cuisines.

Favourite gadget?

Kettle or electric blanket.

Choice of night out?

Dinner, drinks and disco-dancing.

Depends on the occasion.

Choice of holiday?

Somewhere hot, historical and surrounded by natural beauty.

What sound or noise do you love? 

Ice cubes clinking in a glass, wood pigeons.
