Nicola joined Stobbs in 2023 as an IA Paralegal.
Nicola is a CITMA qualified trade mark paralegal with over 25 years of experience gained from working at a leading patent & trade mark firm and a highly regarded City based international law firm. Over the course of her career, Nicola has been exposed to all areas of trade mark administration and managed worldwide trade mark filing and recordal programmes. Most recently, her position meant she worked with a team in the Middle East which enabled her to gain extensive knowledge on the formality requirements for the supporting documents required in trade mark filing, recordal and renewal projects in this complex region.
Outside of work, Nicola doesn't have much downtime as her daughter is a budding athlete, so she is always ferrying her to training or competitions around the UK. Nicola spends so much time doing this that she decided that if she couldn’t beat her daughter, she should join her and so Nicola is now in the process of qualifying as a Level 1 Athletics Field Official. This means she has had to learn to move very quickly in all directions so that she can avoid being hit by a javelin, discus or shot put! She is hoping to qualify for Level 2 by the end of the summer season next year. Nicola also really enjoys photography, but this is a hobby that has fallen by the wayside recently. She hopes to get back into this over the next few months!

Thai or roast dinner.
Favourite music?
Now that I am a bit older, I have developed an eclectic music taste and love anything from Queen, to the Police, to Drake to the Artful Dodger.
Favourite book?
A good autobiography or some chicklit which is an easy read that allows me to switch off.
Favourite gadget?
iPad.
Favourite film?
The Holiday.
Choice of night out?
A nice meal with a few drinks in a bar beforehand. I’m too old for clubbing now but never say never!
Choice of dress code?
Smart casual.
Choice of holiday?
I love the Greek Islands, especially Kefalonia. Two weeks eating out at local restaurants and living as the locals do would be perfect!
What sound or noise do you love?
The sound of horses’ clip clopping past my house at the weekends.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I would love to be an Estate Agent as I am nosey and like looking around other people’s houses to get inspiration for my own.
