Andy Dunn
Facilities Manager

Andy joined Stobbs in December 2021 as our facilities manager, having gained a wealth of experience managing school sites in Nottingham and Wales. Andy left college at 18 and joined the Parachute Regiment in search of adventure, he became a climbing instructor at an early age and travelled extensively teaching adventure sports to soldiers. Adventure seems to have been a theme through his life because he left the army to become a Police firearms officer specialising in explosives. He managed several national projects developing specialist training venues and tactics to deal with emerging threats in the UK and around the world. Andy retired from the police to work in schools as it facilitated more time with his wife (who is a teacher) and his passion for the outdoors.

When living in Snowdonia, Andy was part of the mountain rescue organisation and would spend his free time in the mountains or sea kayaking round the coast. He's just acquired a paddle board so is excited to learn this new skill with friends from work.
