Emma joined Stobbs in 2022 after having graduated from university earlier in the year, where she studied French. Emma's previous work experience includes a lot of teaching and tutoring; she has taught the piano and keyboard in the UK, and English when she lived in France for a year. Though working at Stobbs will be different from what she has done before, Emma is eager to get stuck in!

Outside of the office, Emma enjoys reading, listening to music and being outdoors. In her opinion, there’s nothing better than a leisurely walk through nature with a pair of headphones, and a flask of warm tea. Except her cat, obviously. Emma has also started crocheting recently, though all that she has to show for it at the moment is a failed attempt at a set of coasters. She's working on it.

Favourite food?

Fruit – strawberries and lychees in particular. Also, anything strawberry or lychee flavoured!

Favourite music?

I listen to Indie Folk and Indie Pop the most, but I enjoy a little bit of everything – my Spotify Wrapped is an enigma.

Favourite book?

As of right now, 'Woman, Eating' by Claire Kohda, but it changes often.

Favourite gadget?

My iPhone.

Favourite film?

Les glaneurs et la glaneuse - Agnes Varda.

Choice of night out?

Stargazing with music.

Choice of dress code?

A knitted jumper (bonus points if it’s a touch too warm for comfort) and a pair of mom jeans.

Backpacking through nature.
