Giles joined us in April 2022 as People Chief to lead and develop our People Team to ensure that as Stobbs grows it continues to support its staff and be a great place to work.
Giles was previously in private practice with a number of leading regional law firms. He trained and qualified as a solicitor with Mills & Reeve in their Cambridge office. After 10 years, he moved to Hewitsons (now HCRHewitsons) as a Partner and in 2010 he joined Buckles as Partner and Head of their Employment Department, most recently heading-up their new Cambridge office.
Giles is a keen sportsman, although a bit of a “jack of all trades master of none!”In his spare time, he loves to spend time in France with family, friends and the pooch!

Favourite music?
My taste in music is eclectic… from Bloc Party and Muse to Lionel Ritchie and George Michael (who doesn’t love a bit of Club Tropicana!)
Favourite book?
One Day by David Nicholls - his books are a guilty pleasure!
Favourite gadget?
It’s got to be my Apple watch, such a great bit of kit!
Favourite film?
I love movies, so will have to go top 3ish for this one depending on my mood:

Choice of night out?
Maybe a couple of pre-dinner cocktails followed by a meal out somewhere local that is authentic and unpretentious.

Something clean and not too creased!
Choice of holiday?
Either skiing in the French Alps with my boys in the winter or walking in the mountains with my other half and our pooch in the summer.

A professional tennis player (although I fear that my moment has passed!)
