Megan joined Stobbs as a member of our IA Support team in 2023. Before this, she was a GP secretary/receptionist for several years in the NHS, which meant she had experience in a fast paced environment where she had multiple tasks that needed to be completed at once. In particular, audio typing and letter drafting were the main focus of her role, meaning she managed to develop an exceptional typing speed whilst being accurate!

Megan also had to cover in reception at her GP surgery which helped develop her communication and telephone skills as there was never a day where the phone wasn’t ringing off the hook. Organisation and priority sorting were also key, as queries and tasks kept coming from patients, GPs and other members of staff at the same time.

Outside of work, Megan likes going to the gym, reading (any classic novels and Stephen King are her favourite!) and going for walks and getting lunch with her friends. She's also a bit of a computer gamer, particularly escape room/puzzle games, with the occasional Call of Duty as well!
