Tasneem Madani
IA Executive

Tasneem joined Stobbs in 2023 as an IA Executive. Tasneem qualified as an Irish and EU Trade Mark Attorney in 2017 and is a member of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys in Ireland (APTMA). Prior to joining Stobbs, she was an Associate at a leading boutique IP law firm in Dublin.

Tasneem attended University College Dublin, where she obtained an honours degree in Business and Law (BBL). Upon graduation, she took up positions at leading advertising agencies, where she gained experience in the creative process of brand development. She then joined a boutique IP law firm, which grounded her interest in intellectual property law. Tasneem has also worked as a Trade Mark Agent at a corporate law firm in Dublin, where she gained experience in Data Protection Law. She then completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP University in London, in which she obtained a distinction.

Tasneem is enthusiastic about her clients’ brands and provides clear legal advice tailored for commercial needs. She advises clients on all aspects of trade mark protection, including preliminary searching, assessing inherent registrability, developing filing strategies that suit her client’s particular commercial concerns, prosecution, oppositions and infringement, as well as comprehensive experience in portfolio management.

Outside of work, Tasneem enjoys writing groups, book clubs, baking, going to the gym, eating out, spending quality time with loved ones and giggling at silly puns.

Favourite food?

Rendang, nasi lemak or nasi goreng. My mother’s Malaysian home cooking is outstanding (completely unbiased opinion).

Favourite music?

Whatever was playing in the charts when I was in secondary school and university. I can’t seem to develop my music taste beyond this point.

Favourite book?

Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer.

Favourite gadget?

Smeg kettle. It is aesthetically pleasing and it makes the tea.

Favourite film?

The Last of the Mohicans.

Choice of night out?

Some sort of random activity (axe-throwing anyone?) followed by dinner and drinks.

Choice of dress code?

Overdressed or yoga pants.

Choice of holiday?

Somewhere with a little of everything so I can make a colour-coded itinerary complete with adrenaline-junkie activities, restaurants, sight-seeing, relaxing beach days and nightlife.

What sound or noise do you love?

The wailing howls of a Siberian Husky.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

Maybe a writer. Maybe a baker. Or perhaps a stay-at-home dog mom raising 101 Siberian Huskies.

Favourite brand?

Girlfriend Collective.
